Yesterday, a 21 year-old YouTuber and Minecraft streamer named CallMeCarson made news for revealing that he had sexted with a 17 year-old girl when he was 19.

Much of the discussion about whether or not Carson committed any crimes rests on a series of messages he exchanged with a girl, which could be read as two confused young people talking about their feelings, or as a slightly older guy exerting his influence over an impressionable, younger fan.

A bunch of fellow video game streamers came to his defense and had some valid points to make about exactly which wrongs Carson did or didn't commit.
