With a name like Joey Chestnut, your only profession is going to be eating hot dogs. I'm sorry I don't make the rules.

The hot dog-eating phenom holds the world record for most hot dogs eaten at 76 in 10 minutes. He came up a bit short of his own record this year, but still took down 63 hot dogs, one protester, and a partridge in a pear tree.

You read that correctly. In the middle of the competition, some animal rights activists decided to storm the stage. Joey "Jaws" Chestnut was having none of that. Chestnut immediately put the deviant in a chokehold and threw him to the ground. Only to go right back to his glizzies mere seconds later. What a legend.

Before the altercation, Chestnut was already a champion. But this is how he became an American hero. Just for reference, he's won the contest the last 15 of 16 years. Put some respect on his name already, and get him into the Nathan's Famous Hall of Fame!
