27 Thursday Memes to Entertain You Until the Weekend

If you're tired of being serious, why not go grab a drink at the internet's preverbal bar, and scroll through some funny random memes?

BBC news anchor Maryam Moshiri certainly decided to do things on the silly side this morning, and was caught flipping the camera the bird on live TV before snapping into classic British professionalism and delivering, "Live from London, this is BBC News." It's always nice to catch a serious news anchor in a candid moment, especially for a network as buttoned up as the BBC.

"Yesterday just before the top of the hour I was joking around a bit with the team in the gallery," she apologized on Twitter. "I was pretending to count down as the director was counting me down from 10-0, including the fingers to show the number. So from 10 fingers held up to one. When we got to 1 I turned finger around as a joke and did not realize that this would be caught on camera." She also called it a "private joke with the team."

But while some people took offense, the vast majority enjoyed seeing a more jovial side to a BBC Chief presenter. "Switching within a second to read the news was even more impressive," @Betracingnation commented.
