Everyone has a date with the Grim Reaper, but these people said "Not today," and lived to tell the tale. Death is a natural part of life, but not when it comes far sooner than it should. These people ran up against it, and came out the other side. Amazingly, many of them feel much more calm about the day when it does come. 

One incredible story comes in the form of a car crash. Sometimes it can be difficult to know for sure if what you're reading online is really true, especially if it's a crazy story, but one person came ready with receipts. While driving on cruise control in the right lane, a woman suddenly became aware of a semi-truck colliding with her car. When she came to, she realized that she had been collected underneath the truck, and was rendered immobile by the weight of the vehicle above her. Amazingly, a hand injury and head bump were her only scars, while photos show how bad things could have gone. "I should have died. Not a single person who has seen my vehicle understands how I survived," she wrote.

Another person tells of a different truck accident, rather than what should have been an accident. While hauling 10,000 plus pounds of steel as an untrained child, the truck began sliding out of control on gravel. Fortunately it stopped just before being struck by another truck. The moral of these stories? Cars and trucks are dangerous.
