It's a good thing doctors are smart because many of their patients aren't. These doctors took to AskReddit to share stories of the dumbest patients they've ever dealt with. 

Quite a few stories had to do with pills, both the taking and not taking of them. Patients love to take pills they aren't prescribed. If there's a pill bottle just lying around, somebody is going to take them, "just to see what it does." Other doctors tell stories of elderly patients refusing to continue with medication just because they "feel better now." Unfortunately, blood pressure medication isn't a one-and-done kind of thing.
